Preventative

We can catch issues before they become a problem
  • Teeth Cleaning

Patients who commit to routine preventive dental care typically experience fewer oral health problems over time. Semi-annual professional cleanings allow us to take a proactive approach to your dental health. Your dental hygienist uses special tools to remove excess plaque and tartar from the teeth. Once your teeth are tartar free, your hygienist will gently polish the teeth to remove surface stains. They will also look for any signs of gingivitis and may give you a few hygiene tips to help improve your smile health.

  • Fluoride

Fluoride is a natural mineral that is often referred to as nature’s cavity fighter. This amazing mineral strengthens the tooth’s enamel, making it more resistant to tooth decay. Using fluoride toothpaste and drinking fluoridated water are great practices to ensure you intake a sufficient amount of fluoride daily. Professional fluoride treatments are also an effective method to fight against tooth decay, strengthen enamel, and help children develop healthy teeth.

  • Oral Cancer Screening

Early detection and treatment of oral cancer can significantly increase your chances of a quick and complete recovery. At every hygiene visit, we examine all the tissues of your mouth including gums, cheeks, lips, and tongue. If we suspect any unusual changes in your mouth tissue, we may suggest a biopsy and microscopic analysis by a qualified lab.

  • Periodontal Deep Cleaning

Our deep cleaning services offer a tailored solution to address the unique oral health needs of patients with periodontal disease. Periodontal deep cleanings, also known as scaling and root planing, go beyond routine cleaning treatments. Our experienced team utilizes specialized techniques to remove built-up plaque and tartar from below the gumline. This process helps eliminate harmful bacteria and reduce inflammation, supporting the healing of gum tissues.

  • Safe Mercury Removal

Dental amalgams, more commonly referred to as silver fillings, are a type of filling that contains 50% mercury. While this type of filling is considered safe by the ADA for most patients, mercury vapor can be absorbed by the body and lead to adverse health effects. Traditionally, dentists would drill to remove dental amalgams, but drilling releases higher amounts of mercury vapor and particles. Patients, dentists, and dental workers can easily inhale this mercury through the lungs.  At iHeartDDS,  we offer a safe removal process with minimal exposure to mercury. Furthermore, we can replace the dental restoration with a metal-free crown or composite filling to protect your smile and health in the safest way possible.

Cosmetic

Your dream smile is closer than you think
  • Veneers— Free Consultation

Veneers are the ultimate combination of dental art and science, handcrafted and customized to fit your smile. These paper-thin pieces of porcelain bond to the outside of your natural teeth. Veneers can hide tough stains, and chipped teeth, fill in unwanted gaps, and can even make misaligned teeth look straighter. Our team will work with you to design your veneers to your exact specifications.

  • Teeth Whitening

Teeth whitening removes years of dingy stains from your teeth. Coffee, tea, wine, tobacco, and chocolate can dull tooth enamel. Simple and safe, most patients don't realize how discolored their teeth are until they see a new smile emerge. Professional whitening treatments can be performed in the office or we can send you home with a custom whitening kit so you can brighten your smile from the comfort of your home.

  • Clear Aligners

For ultimate camouflage, clear aligners offer a modern straightening treatment. A series of clear plastic trays are made using 3D digital models of your teeth. Medical-grade plastic without wires, metal, springs, or rubber bands gently move your teeth into place. Removable trays can be set aside for short periods allowing for normal eating and cleaning.

  • Wrinkle Prevention

As we age, the skin starts to lose volume, causing wrinkles and lines to become more prominent. Medicinal injections restore lost volume and give the face a more youthful appearance. This treatment is an excellent option for patients looking to reverse signs of aging in a minimally invasive yet highly effective treatment.

Restorative

We can restore your teeth to perfect health
  • Crowns

Sometimes teeth are damaged because of cavities, heavy bite forces, or trauma. If a root canal is needed to salvage a compromised nerve, the tooth may be very fragile after treatment. Dental crowns, or caps, allow these teeth to be rebuilt and covered with materials that mimic nature. Crowns can be crafted to repair a single tooth or multiple teeth. They can also be used in conjunction with dental implants to fill a space.

  • Fillings

Dental fillings are one of the most common procedures in dentistry. In this routine treatment, we may inject an anesthetic near the tooth to numb the area. Then, we will use a dental drill to remove any decay present in the area and fill in the carved-out space with a dental restoration material. Fillings can be made of gold, porcelain, amalgam, or tooth-colored composite resin depending on your budget and aesthetic desires.

  • Implants— Free Consultation

Dental implants feel and function like natural teeth and last a lifetime. Unlike removable dentures, dental implants are a permanent solution. Many patients do not even notice a difference between their replacement teeth and natural teeth. Dental implants allow patients to eat, speak, and smile with confidence.

  • Bridges

Whenever you drive across a bridge, you're being supported by the same principles that support a dental bridge. Dental Bridges are a non-removeable way to replace a missing tooth or teeth. It's called a bridge because it spans the space and is attached at both ends to other teeth. An artificial tooth is connected to the supporting teeth and replaces the missing tooth. Many patients choose bridges because it is an affordable treatment to replace multiple teeth.

  • Full & Partial Dentures

Dentures are an affordable way to replace any number of missing teeth. They have a long history of success, and over 40 million Americans rely on dentures to maintain oral function. Dentures are removable substitutes for missing teeth. Full dentures are used when a person is missing all their natural teeth, while partial dentures replace only a few missing teeth to eliminate gaps and improve oral functions. Denture treatment is customized to each patient’s specific needs. Our team can help you decide which option works best for your smile.

  • Extractions

Teeth sometimes need to be removed to protect your health and our team will take every step to help you. Your well-being always takes priority in any treatment decision. Our team will take every measure to make sure even minor surgical procedures are as comfortable as possible.

  • Root Canals

Toothaches are a vivid reminder that teeth aren't just pieces of hard tissue floating around in the gums. They are intricately formed sensory organs with layers of dentin and enamel protecting a living pulp. Coursing through the tooth's pulp is a vital bundle of nerves and blood vessels providing nutrients and sensation to each tooth. Root canals are the most common way to treat problemed pulp. We will remove the pulp and carefully clean out the canal. The space that is used to hold the pulp is then filled and sealed. Afterward, a crown or a restorative structure will be placed on the treated tooth to protect it and allow normal function.

  • Autogenous Bone and Dentin Grafting

Autogenous bone grafts are considered by many to be the gold standard of bone grafting. This procedure involves transplanting bone from one part of the body to another. The main advantage of autogenous bone grafts is that the graft material is alive, which contains living cellular elements that enhance graft survival and promote new bone growth.

Autogenous bone grafts are also advantageous because they can quickly and completely integrate into the host bone site. Since the graft material comes from the patient, there is no risk of the body rejecting it. Common harvest areas for autogenous bone grafts include the skull, hip, lower leg bone, jaw, and chin.

  • Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF)

Platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) is a cutting-edge treatment in dentistry that uses the patient's own blood to enhance healing and outcomes in various procedures. A small sample of the patient's blood is processed to extract a concentrated form of platelets, leukocytes, and growth factors. This substance is then applied to the treatment site, where it promotes tissue regeneration and healing.

PRF offers several benefits in dental procedures. It accelerates healing, reduces the risk of complications, such as infections, and can enhance bone regeneration. One of the key advantages of PRF is its safety profile. Since it is derived from the patient's own blood, there is minimal risk of allergic reactions or rejection.

Oral Condition Treatment

Conservative care for optimal oral, and overall, wellness
  • TMJ Treatment

Dermal fillers are a natural protein purified for medicinal use. As experts in the face and mouth, dentists understand that pain and headaches come from many sources. For some patients, we can effectively treat TMJ non invasively with exercises or a custom nightguard. For others, we use medicinal injections to provide relaxation to the muscles that cause chronic headaches and TMJ pain. Most patients see results last three to four months, and the treatment can be reapplied as needed.

  • Sleep Apnea

Researchers estimate that more than 12 million Americans have obstructive sleep apnea. Most cases are still undiagnosed and can contribute to diabetes, high blood pressure, hypertension, congestive heart failure, coronary artery disease, and traffic accidents related to drowsy driving. Dentistry serves a vital role in treating this silent epidemic. The American Academy of Sleep Medicine recommends oral appliances as primary therapy for the treatment of mild to moderate obstructive sleep apnea and for patients with severe sleep apnea who can't tolerate CPAP treatment.

  • Teeth Grinding

If you're waking up with a sore jaw or headaches, you may be grinding your teeth at night. Teeth grinding is a subconscious habit that affects about 10% of the population. In many cases, the abrasive action occurs only during sleep and for only a few seconds at a time. Waking up with a sore jaw or a morning headache are common signs of nighttime grinding. Jaw muscles are, ounce for ounce, the strongest in the body, which means they can do a lot of unnecessary damage. A custom oral appliance can protect your excessive wear.

  • Functional Crown Lengthening

Functional Crown Lengthening (CL) is a critical procedure for patients who are missing a significant amount of tooth structure. When a tooth has been compromised due to decay or trauma, there might not be enough healthy tooth structure left to support a crown. In such cases, CL becomes essential to expose more of the tooth's surface, creating what's known as a ferrule effect. This ferrule effect provides the necessary space for a core build-up and a post to securely anchor the crown, ensuring its long-term stability and success. Unfortunately, many dentists overlook this fundamental step. However, at Dr. Neda Moezzi's dental office, patients can rest assured knowing that they are in capable hands. Dr. Moezzi is highly skilled and knowledgeable in CL. She prioritizes delivering the right treatment for each patient and never skips any steps necessary to save the tooth.

  • Osseous Surgery (Pocket Reduction)

When Scaling and Root Planing (SRP) doesn't effectively treat gum disease, the next step is often Pocket Reduction, also known as Osseous Surgery. If pockets remain at 6mm or deeper after a 6-week follow-up from SRP, it indicates active gum disease requiring further intervention. Pocket reduction surgery aims to reduce the depth of these pockets where harmful bacteria cultivate to reduce inflammation and prevent bone loss. This procedure effectively restores the health of the gum tissue to stop gum disease from progressing and prevent tooth loss. Sometimes, pocket reduction is combined with a bone graft to regenerate lost bone tissue.

  • Periodontal Regeneration

Periodontal regeneration restores the connective tissue that surrounds and supports the teeth, known as the periodontium. The periodontium consists of four components: the gums, periodontal ligament, cementum, and alveolar bone. Through sophisticated techniques using bone grafts, membranes, and growth factors, we stimulate natural tissue regeneration to preserve teeth affected by gum disease. Dr. Neda Moezzi selects the best bone graft and implant materials to prioritize patient health and promote a successful treatment outcome.

  • Gum Grafting

Gum grafting is a form of plastic surgery for the gums, but unlike some cosmetic procedures that focus solely on appearance, gum grafting can also treat gum recession and significantly alleviate teeth sensitivity.

Dr. Neda Moezzi has received exceptional training from one of the renowned periodontists who is a pioneer of the gum grafting technique called the Vista Technique. With over 100 successful cases under her belt, Dr. Neda is well-versed in this advanced procedure. She has the expertise to take the graft from the patient's mouth or utilize an allograft, depending on the case and the patient's preference. This personalized approach ensures that each patient receives tailored care that is both effective and comfortable.

  • Ridge Augmentation

Ridge augmentation is when we add more bone to your jaw. It's like giving your jaw a little extra support where it might need it. This helps us create a stronger foundation for dental implants or other treatments, so everything stays secure and stable.

  • Sinus Lift

A sinus lift is a procedure to add bone to your upper jaw near the molars and premolars. Sometimes, there's not enough bone there for dental implants, so we lift the sinus membrane and add bone to make it stronger.

At iHeartDDS, we specialize in sinus lift surgery to help you get the best results for your dental implants. Dr. Neda works closely with an oral surgeon for more complex cases, ensuring you receive the highest level of care. Choosing our practice means you're getting expertise, collaboration, and personalized care to make sure your dental implants are successful and long-lasting.

As your family's dental partner, we understand the unique issues teens face, from changing habits to potential neglect of oral care. Our preventive visits every six months offer an opportunity to coach and reinforce positive efforts, building rapport in a professional and friendly setting. We provide essential tips for home care, such as limiting sugary drinks and emphasizing the importance of a thorough oral hygiene routine. Trust us to guide your teen toward a lifetime of optimal oral health.

  • Sealant

Sealants dramatically reduce the number of cavities that may develop during childhood. Deep grooves run into the center of the teeth on the chewing surface of the molars. If the grooves in permanent molars are sealed at a young age, the risk of decay developing on the chewing surfaces dramatically decreases. The sealant material fills in the grooves to create a smooth surface and make the biting surface easier for little ones to clean. The resin material flowed over the grooves is quickly sealed with a blue activating light. Within a few minutes, your child’s teeth are protected against cavities. Sealants last several years and may need to be repaired or replaced periodically. But research confirms a 90% reduction in tooth decay along the chewing surface in sealed molars.

  • Infant Exams

Following the recommendations of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, we suggest infants should come in for their first oral exam between the ages of six months to one year old. Our team will review proper diet, age-appropriate hygiene, and go over pacifier use to make sure your child’s oral health starts strong and stays strong.

  • Pediatric Restorative Dentistry

If your child needs restorative treatment, we will create a custom treatment plan for your child and review all treatment options with you before treatment begins. Our team will ensure that your child stays comfortable throughout their appointment and provide the best care possible to them.

  • Sports Mouthguards

It’s estimated that over 20 million children take part in one after-school sport or another. With that amount of children engaging in sports and other activities like skiing, gymnastics, and martial arts, there is a higher chance of injury. Did you know that up to 20% of these injuries are due to fractured or otherwise damaged teeth? Our team can create a sports mouthguard for your child to protect their smile. After an impression of your child’s teeth is taken, they will fabricate a new mouthguard molded to custom-fit their unique smile.
